Casting Design Features

As OEM castings have gone out of production, those in the field have aged and worn, and the demands on our race engines have increased, we needed to develop a superior alternative to OEM.  The 4P Race Casting is superior in every way. Exclusively available at 4P.

  • These “porting castings” give us a clean slate to put any port size and shape we choose, and offer a “full cleanup”
  • We machine a wide variety of combustion chamber shapes and sizes to suit your application.
  • Port wall thickness is increased over OEM dramatically to allow us to run larger ports and move them around for high rpm applications.  Increased port wall thickness also allows for extreme boost applications.
  • Extra thick deck for increased rigidity and high boost handling capabilities.
  • Superior cooling through 3D printed water jackets
  • All heads accept VTEC and non-VTEC arrangement with OEM or aftermarket components.
  • These race ported heads are 100% designed, machined, and finished in house at 4 Piston Racing.  We will build you the head you need for your race or street program.

Introducing the 4P R40 “4-port” Race Head

The big debate of porting the R40 or swapping to a 4 Port head for your 9th generation Civic will be battled to the death.  There are absolute advantages to both configurations.  For you guys that want a 4 Port and fly that flag, we have the ULTIMATE solution.

Our 4 Port Race casting gives you an OEM R40 water configuration and a 4 port exhaust layout…..and NO half ass RTV on the gasket surface or welding.  It also gives you VTEC provisions on INTAKE and EXHAUST so that you can run traditional K20 based camshafts and rockers.  Or you can run your R40 cams and rockers. BRING ON THE HORSEPOWER.

  • ANY 4 Piston CNC Race Port will fit into this head….Pro 156, Pro R40, Pro 163, Super99, Peacemaker Jr, Peacemaker, Outlaw Turbo….you pick.  No more being held back!
  • .150″ thicker deck than an OEM casting for better gasket sealing and bigger boost!
  • Thicker port walls…even with our biggest most aggressive port, you have a thicker wall than any OEM casting.  You want ALL the boost?  No problem.
  • LMA provisions for VTEC on both sides!
  • Bronze valve guides standard.
  • Newen CNC Valve Job developed specifically for this head.
